My Yoga Journey
After exploring the world travelling season to season, it was 2013 when I first fell in love with yoga in Queenstown, New Zealand.
I saw an intro offer for a month of unlimited yoga, not doing things by halves I signed myself up, and I was hooked! My body really enjoyed the movement, and I felt freedom and space in my body for the first time.
It wasn’t long before yoga changed the way I saw the world, it felt like I was looking at the world through a different lens, a lens of wonder, appreciation, compassion and awe.
Living on the other side of the world with my Kiwi partner, a long way from home, yoga taught me one of the most valuable lessons yet, to find home within my heart.
Yoga changed the way I connected with myself, I got to know myself on a deeper level and experienced the richness of self love and acceptance.
It was the yoga philosophy and way of life that really struck a chord in me and I knew that this would be a life long journey. A quest to keep learning, keep practicing and show up for myself.
I studied my yoga teacher training in Auckland, New Zealand in 2017 after falling in love with the ancient practice with a thirst to dive in deeper and for yoga to really become a way of life.
I believe that yoga is for everybody, I always encourage my students to show up just as they are, it’s easy to focus our energy on how flexible we’d like to be but we need to meet ourselves where we are today, and with kindness, compassion and acceptance.
Yoga has taken me to some amazing places from festivals, weddings, teacher trainings, Yeotown, Holwell Holistic Retreat, private hen parties, corporate events, and more!
I’d describe my style of yoga as community spirited, heart led, nurturing and soulful with a weave of gratitude that carries through every offering of mine deeply.
During my sessions teaching yoga in Woolacombe, I channel Reiki energy to bring calming, grounding energy to the practice, my intention is for all my students to leave feeling whole again, balanced and connected to their hearts and the moment.
I offer valuable insight from my experience to help you on your journey, I believe that you are your own best healer and teacher and I am there to simply guide you.
My relaxed but professional style encourages freedom and expression with an open invite to explore with playfulness.

I am a Mama to two beautiful lighthouses Ruby and Summer, I have a kiwi husband, we actually met randomly in Mayrhofen, Austria when he was DJing in a bar and I was a Crystal rep back in my days of travel!
I’m a huge fan of the mighty ocean, you’ll find me wild swimming through out the year, even when there’s snow on the beach! It really helps to keep me focused and energised, I can’t help but smile when I’m in the sea.
I always have time for my dear friends, whether that’s a cosy night in with the best chats, laughter and all the snacks, out for a good old curry with a poppodom that resembles a pizza - almost breaking under the pressure of all the toppings, a beach day with all the kids in tow hunting in rock pools for crabs, or raving at a festival in all the glitter and ‘out there’ costumes you wish you could wear every day.. I truly am very blessed to have an abundance of beautiful friends.
I am a big fan of being barefoot, in our family it’s become known as ‘barefoot Henderson’, it helps us all to feel grounded and recharged after the chaos it takes to actually leave the house with 2 kids, especially because I’m a ‘take a picnic’ kinda Mum, it helps to remove reasons we’d need to leave our adventures sooner than we’d like to and we’ve had lunch in some pretty epic spots.
I am 100% a ‘look at the moon’ type of person, as well as a chaser for that green flash at sunset, if there is a high tide and a moon rise I start to get squeeky!
Random things I like are matcha lattes, salt and vinegar crisps, (CO-OP do the saltyiest, vingeryest goodness if you’re a S + V fan!), sunshine, I’m an absolute sun worshipper, I love to take photos and for the really special occasions even create a photo book, I LOVE the smell of gauze flowers (they are like a coconuty mango smell IYKYK!)
Sandalwood incense is my signature smell at all the events I host, I adore the sound of rain especially if I’m in a tent, or cosy in bed.
Laughing is my medicine, nothing cures anxiety like laughter and sillyness, I find often we can take ourselves and life way too seriously!
I have a big connection to New Zealand, half of our family are there and we lived there for 8 years with my kiwi husband, I was an international flight attendant for Air New Zealand and my favourite destinations we flew to was without a doubt Hawaii and Japan.
When in the right mood I love talking to strangers, I’m the weird one making convo in the aisle’s at Lidl about the food choices and what’s good.
I also love skinny dipping, bonfires, singing my heart out to mantra whilst cooking in the kitchen, dancing with my eyes closed to drum n bass and of course holding sacred space seeing my clients enjoy bone deep rest and feeling the palpable peace after a shavasana.
My number one self care treat is massage, I love fresh crispy linen on the bed, I live for small, clean waves for surfing, snowboarding in powder and those big tight long hugs where time stands still, I love a good cry, whether that is sad or happy tears I am a super sensitive soul which I believe is definitely my super power!
