Cacao

Ceremonies

The Cacao spirit is a keeper of ancient, sacred wisdom.

The cacao is made from ceremonial grade cacao with love and intention, the delicious hot drink is reiki charged.

Cacao is the raw, unprocessed form of chocolate and native to Central and South America, it’s fruit was first consumed over 4000 years ago!

Cacao is known as a superfood, for it has the best sources of vitamins, magnesium, iron, fibre, and antioxidants. During the fermentation process phenylethylamine (PEA) is produced naturally.

PEA releases serotonin, norepinephrine and dopamine from our brains. These molecules produce the euphoric effect that many people describe as a “runner’s high” or “feeling in love”.

The effect is almost instant, expect improvements in cognitive performance, more drive, attention, awareness, heightened creativity, pleasure, libido, a sense of well-being and social behaviour. It might be one of the reasons many experience a big heart-opening effect when using cacao in a group ceremony.

Most indigenous people regard the cacao spirit as a feminine force and associate her powers with the emotional body, the voice and a way to communicate with spirit.

Mama Cacao holds the vibrations of kindness, unconditional love and joy, allowing a loving connection with yourself and others.

Cacao’s energy is healing, motherly and very gentle.

When we connect with the heart energy our voice may speak from a deeper intelligence carrying vibrations of peace.

Cacao is a powerful plant medicine and receiving a cacao ceremony is helpful for gaining clarity, setting intentions, and doing healing work for inner processing.

Being in a sacred space helps us to get out of our normal frame of mind, allowing you to experience new insights and perspectives.

Depending on the intention of the ceremony they can also be wonderful places to connect with people in a safe, open hearted environment.

Sharing Cacao brings us into the same energetic frequency, this results in a deeper more intimate connection with ourselves and each other.

When multiple people share Cacao together, we have a shared experience of mood elevation, increased vitality, enhanced intuition and empathy and a more open, present and grateful heart.

Cacao increases the energetic field of our hearts, and when we join together, the field is amplified and woven together with multiple hearts.

We each carry unique medicine and messages for each other, and even if you are in a ceremony with strangers, they may share something about their experience that provides more clarity or inspiration for where you are in your life.

When a group all drinks cacao together, they are shifting their energy into the same frequency and vibration.

Expect a sensory experience of low lighting, candles, incense, and grounding atmospheric sound as we immerse ourselves in the teachings of this powerful plant medicine.

Book a Cacao ceremony to learn more about this ancient plant medicine and receive it’s benefits. This could be within the comfort of your own home, or a cosy venue I can organise for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is cacao suitable for everyone?

If anyone has as a heart condition, prone to migraines or pregnant it is still safe to consume cacao but at a lower dose of 15-20g per person. Also a lower dose for anyone on antidepressants, EXCEPT anyone on MAIO anti depressants, in this case it should be avoided all together.

Cocoa can raise blood sugar levels and might interfere with blood sugar control in people with diabetes so please be aware.

If any of the above apply to your group please let me know in the health form below, and a lower dose will be given to the group so you can all experience the same cacao. With a lower dose the effects are still noticeable and this is recommended for first timers.

Is ceremonial cacao a drug?

Pure Ceremonial Cacao is not a drug or psychedelic. It's pure chocolate of the highest quality and when used with intention, can be a powerful catalyst for healing work.

Is the yoga suitable for all abilities?

Yes, the yoga practice will be suitable for all levels, whether it’s your first time or hundredth time! The yoga practice is very soulful and mindful with modifications depending on your energy and ability.

Yoga is non competitive and always encourages you to listen to your body and your needs without comparing to anyone else.

Yoga is known as a ‘practice.’ Letting go of the need for perfection, performance and the ego mind so instead you can work with what you truly need from the practice, even if that’s a child pose for most/or all of the class!

Where are the cacao ceremonies held?

I have a few beautiful venues to call upon depending on where your party are travelling from and availability!

What do I need to bring?

A blanket to snuggle up under and a pillow for comfort, a yoga mat if you have one (if not please let me know), a journal and pen.

What do I wear?

Something that is super comfortable that you can move easily in.

PJs if you really want!

Are all dietary requirements catered for?

Yes, just let me know your dietary requirements and allergies at the time of booking.

What is a sound bath?

A sound bath is a meditative experience where those in attendance are “bathed” in sound waves as you lay down under your blankets to rest. These waves are produced by various sources, including healing instruments such as gongs, singing bowls, percussion, chimes, rattles, tuning forks, and sometimes even the human voice itself.

No experience is necessary, just an open heart and mind.

Do you need any journal experience?

Absolutely not, I lead you into the journal experience with prompts so you’ll be led and guided in a supportive space. The journal experience is a really good way of learning from the plant medicine’s teachings of any insight, wisdom or feelings. It’s a therapeutic practice that helps to feel present and connected.

  • I have attended Coral's retreats and circles and particularly love her Cacao ceremonies, they are always so wholesome and nurturing! She puts so much love and time into them, plus it's the tastiest Cacao drink I've tried. She's such a special person and it really comes across in the ceremonies that she loves what she does. You feel nothing but warmth, love and peace in Coral's presence. Thank you Coral, can't wait for the next one."

    Sami Hope

  • I had such a lovely evening with Coral at her cacao ceremony. At the time I was feeling very stressed and anxious a little unsure of what the evening might bring but shortly after consuming the drink I became relaxed and had a warm fuzzy feeling inside. I would highly reccomend Coral's offerings because she is truly wonderful and brings such light to everything she does."
